5 years of Light Up Rutland County!

​Light Up Rutland County began in the winter of 2020 as a way to remind us that we can make each other’s days brighter in simple ways and feel connected even in dark times. This winters lights and decorating competition encourages everyone to decorate in a way that celebrates and honors what this winter season means to them. The decorations brighten our community and give voters a reason to get out and connect with family, friends, and neighbors. All voters are entered into a drawing to win fun prizes from local businesses to thank them for participating.

Together, we bring more happiness and joy during the dark days of winter and remind each other that we care. Learn how you can get involved below!
How it Works:

Step 2: Decorators REGISTER!
Register as Non-Competitive to be added to the map. (Only available for Household decorators.)​
All Decorators Extraordinaire are invited to REGISTER to be added to our
2024 Lights Map. Registration opens November 4th and goes to the 24th!​

Step 3: Go Light Peeping!
December 1st through January 4th, go light peeping!

1. Find the 2024 Lights Map here on our website.
2. Grab a friend and head out for a cozy drive with some cocoa and your camera.
3. Check out our virtual school and business/organization decorators to find your favorites.
4. Keep track of your favorites to get ready to vote!
REMEMBER - Decorators can't win if you don't vote!​
Step 4: Cast Your Vote!
Come back to this website at the end of your light peeping and vote for your favorite
competing decorators to help them win a prize for lighting up your winter!
